Demerara Bank Limited on Thursday stated that it approved more than $1 billion in loans and over $36 million in Visa credit during the recently concluded International Building Expo 2026 held at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, East Bank Demerara (EBD).

The banking institution, in a statement, related that over the four-day event, its representatives engaged with hundreds of patrons who stopped by its booths – not just to ask about interest rates or loan amounts, but to talk about their dreams.

Among them were young professionals planning their first homes, newly married couples preparing for the future, parents wanting more space for their children, and entrepreneurs looking to build a better life for their families.
