Three brothers have vowed to continue their
six-year battle for accountability after their elderly mother was crushed to death by a ship-refuelling truck while disembarking a luxury Caribbean cruise in Barbados.
Janet Purkess, an 87-year-old British national, died on January 25, 2020, at the Bridgetown Port. She had just walked off the MV Saga Sapphire onto Break Water South Road when she was involved in a collision with a reversing 30-tonne crane truck.
