Minister of Rural Development and Local Government Khadijah Ameen says she will not be intimidated by threats to her safety and remains committed to serving her constituents and the wider public.
Speaking to the media today, Ameen praised the security services for their efforts, saying, “I want to commend those who are responsible for our safety, for their continuous advice, their continuous information-gathering, intelligence-gathering, and putting the necessary systems in place to keep us safe.”
She stressed the importance of maintaining her presence in St. Augustine and across Trinidad, noting, “The threats or perceived threats will not hinder our work and our commitment.”
