MinĀisĀter of RurĀal DeĀvelĀopĀment and LoĀcal GovĀernĀment KhadiĀjah Ameen says she will not be inĀtimĀiĀdatĀed by threats to her safeĀty and reĀmains comĀmitĀted to servĀing her conĀstituents and the wider pubĀlic.
SpeakĀing to the meĀdia toĀday, Ameen praised the seĀcuĀriĀty serĀvices for their efĀforts, sayĀing, āI want to comĀmend those who are reĀsponĀsiĀble for our safeĀty, for their conĀtinĀuĀous adĀvice, their conĀtinĀuĀous inĀforĀmaĀtion-gathĀerĀing, inĀtelĀliĀgence-gathĀerĀing, and putting the necĀesĀsary sysĀtems in place to keep us safe.ā
She stressed the imĀporĀtance of mainĀtainĀing her presĀence in St. AuĀgusĀtine and across Trinidad, notĀing, āThe threats or perĀceived threats will not hinĀder our work and our comĀmitĀment.ā
