The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation says it is examining long-term solutions to reduce the impact of traffic gridlock caused by vehicular accidents across the country.
Last week, motorists were stranded in traffic for hours following separate accidents along the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway in El Socorro and the Solomon Hochoy Highway in Gasparillo.
Speaking to reporters during the arrival of Contour Airlines’ inaugural flight at Piarco International Airport on Monday evening, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Eli Zakour noted that the traffic gridlock that day was ‘unfortunate’ but assured that his Ministry is working to alleviate the issue.
