The busiĀness comĀmuĀniĀty is callĀing for a safe and inĀciĀdent-free elecĀtion seaĀson afĀter the date for the genĀerĀal elecĀtion was anĀnounced yesĀterĀday.
The Trinidad and ToĀbaĀgo ChamĀber of InĀdusĀtry and ComĀmerce, reĀspondĀing to the April 28 date, urged citĀiĀzens to be reĀsponĀsiĀble.
ChamĀber presĀiĀdent KiĀran MaĀharaj said, āThis is an opĀporĀtuĀniĀty to exĀerĀcise your right as a citĀiĀzen and go out and vote. Make the choice that you are most comĀfortĀable with. We look forĀward to safeĀty and staĀbilĀiĀty as the acĀtivĀiĀty on the camĀpaign trail will now be inĀtense, and we hope they will be inĀciĀdent-free, esĀpeĀcialĀly where there will be pubĀlic gathĀerĀings. We alĀso hope that all canĀdiĀdates amĀpliĀfy mesĀsages in the best inĀterĀest of all citĀiĀzens.ā
