GRA raked in $160.5B in taxes during first half of 2026 - Mid-Year Report

(Kaieteur News) – The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) during the first six months of 2026 raked in more taxes than the previous year, increasing internal revenues for the country by 16.6% to reach $160.5B.

This is according to the Ministry of Finance Mid-Year Report. The document states that total central government revenue was $493.9 billion, a slight underperformance of 0.7% when compared to the same period last year.

According to the report, “Central Government current revenue collections, net of the Guyana REDD+ Investment Fund (GRIF), the NRF and carbon credit inflows, grew by 18.7% when compared with the 2025 performance to $279.5 billion.”
