Apartment, auto supply store destroyed in Diego fire

A Diego Mar­tin woman’s apart­ment and an au­to sup­ply store were de­stroyed af­ter a fire broke out at a build­ing yes­ter­day af­ter­noon.

While the ex­act time the blaze start­ed re­mained un­clear up to press time, res­i­dents along the Diego Mar­tin Main Road said they saw flames and smoke com­ing from the sec­ond storey of the build­ing, which hous­es Su­per­val­ue Au­to Sup­ply at the cor­ner of Covi­gne Road, from as ear­ly as 4 pm.

Res­i­dents con­tact­ed the Fire Ser­vice, and of­fi­cers and ap­pli­ances from the Wright­son Road Fire Sta­tion re­spond­ed to the scene.
