HDC Assesses āCanadaā Apartment Buildings For Possible Repairs Or Demolition

Minister in the Ministry of Housing, Phillip Alexander, says the Housing Development Corporation is conducting an assessment of the Marcano Quarry Lands apartment buildings in Laventille, commonly known as āCanadaā, to determine whether the structures should be repaired or demolished.
Speaking on Talk City 91.1 FM, he said the HDC is preparing a comprehensive report following his recent visit to the apartment buildings in Laventille.
He noted that the assessment will evaluate the structural condition of the buildings and compare the costs of refurbishment with those of full replacement.
