The Office of the Mayor of San Fernando is strongly refuting what it describes as false and misleading media reports claiming that firearms and ammunition went missing from its office.
In a formal statement issued on Thursday, the Office says it has never stored or maintained firearms or ammunition, and insists the claims are entirely inaccurate.
The statement clarifies that any weapons linked to ongoing investigations fall under the responsibility of the San Fernando Municipal Police Unit, which operates independently from the Office of the Mayor and from a separate location within the City Corporation compound.
