A 79-year-old penÂsionÂer was asÂsaultÂed and robbed durÂing a home inÂvaÂsion at PepÂper VilÂlage, Gran CouÂva, on TuesÂday evening.
PoÂlice said Lawrence RamÂperÂsad was at home with his 79-year-old bedridÂden wife, Sumatie, around 6pm when he heard footÂsteps comÂing from the eastÂern side of the house.
As RamÂperÂsad turned around, he was struck to the back of his head and fell to the ground. He was struck twice more, to his right ear and right arm.
