Ralford Mullings retained his senior discus throw title at the JAAA national championships at the National Stadium on Saturday after throwing 64.31m to secure his place on the team to the Commonwealth Games in July.
Mullings, the national record holder who also won back-to-back NCAA Division One outdoors titles for the University of Oklahoma earlier this month, had two legal marks in the competition.
Fedrick Dacres, the Commonwealth champion in 2018, was second with 62.97m while Racquil Broderick of the University of Southern California — who was second behind Mullings at the NCAA championships — was third with a season’s best equalling 62.87m.
