Nicholas Morris has been selected by the United National Congress (UNC) to contest the Mayaro seat in the upcoming general election, replacing Rushton Paray, the party's former MP for the constituency.
Paray, one of five UNC MPs labeled as “dissidents” in June last year, had challenged Kamla Persad-Bissessar for the position of political leader of the party.
Paray’s team, United Patriots, suffered a massive defeat against Persad-Bissessar’s Star Team.
