Police are investigating a report in which a 26-year-old man was stabbed by his pregnant wife in Sangre Grande on Monday.

The victim told police that he had returned home after Carnival celebrations at about 5pm, when he got into an argument with his common law wife who is seven months pregnant.

The altercation escalated, and the two reportedly assaulted one another.
