A new chapter has opened in Guyana’s aviation history with Guyana Rotorcraft Services Inc. (GRSI) becoming the first domestic aviation company to secure a Rotorcraft Air Operations Certification, clearing the way for commercial helicopter services across all administrative regions.
The milestone is more than a regulatory achievement. For communities scattered across Guyana’s vast interior, it could mean faster access to medical care, stronger connections to the coast and new opportunities for businesses and industries operating far from traditional transportation networks.
GRSI will initially begin operations with its recently acquired Bell 206 helicopter, with plans to expand its fleet with multi-engine aircraft before the end of the year.
