Serious crime in Tobago up 1%

OVER the last nine months, Tobago has seen a 1% increase in serious reported crimes (SRCs), along with a corresponding rise in its detection rate.

This was revealed on Wednesday by Assistant Commissioner of Police Rishi Singh, who has responsibility for Tobago and Eastern Division, during a news conference at the Police Administration Building in Port of Spain.

In terms of murders, Tobago had recorded one more murder than during the corresponding period last year, Singh said.
