Chase’s Academy top students eye careers in law, engineering after scoring multiple grade ones at CSEC

(Kaieteur News) – Mariah Ernest, 15 and Genesis Daniels 16, are the top Caribbean Secondary Examination Certificate (CSEC) performers at Chase’s Academic Foundation (Chase’s Academy). Having proven their academic worth by securing in excess of eight grades ones each and total passes of 14 and 16 CSEC subjects respectively, the students are now aiming for careers in law and engineering.

Ernest, an aspiring lawyer told Kaieteur News that she had always hoped for at least eight grade ones and four grade two passes at CSEC. “Being able to surpass that was delightful!” she added.

The teenager said viewing her results for the first time, felt like an instant relief. She attained passes in 14 subjects including eight grade ones in English A, English B, Human and Social Biology, Integrated Science, Office Administration, Physical Education, Principles of Business, Social Studies, grade twos in Biology, Chemistry, EDPM, Physics and grade threes in economics and mathematics.
