Danny Guerra, 49, the owner of DG Homes, was laid to rest yesterday, a week after he was gunned down by masked assailants while seated in his black Toyota Hilux at his North Oropouche business.
The killing, carried out by two men waiting in a white Nissan Tiida, left his family fearing for their lives, and none of his children were able to attend the service following threats in the days after his murder.
Senior police sources confirmed the threats but dismissed rumours that one of his sons had been arrested hours before the funeral.
