Dan­ny Guer­ra, 49, the own­er of DG Homes, was laid to rest yes­ter­day, a week af­ter he was gunned down by masked as­sailants while seat­ed in his black Toy­ota Hilux at his North Oropouche busi­ness.

The killing, car­ried out by two men wait­ing in a white Nis­san Ti­i­da, left his fam­i­ly fear­ing for their lives, and none of his chil­dren were able to at­tend the ser­vice fol­low­ing threats in the days af­ter his mur­der.

Se­nior po­lice sources con­firmed the threats but dis­missed ru­mours that one of his sons had been ar­rest­ed hours be­fore the fu­ner­al.
