NWC assessing chlorine leak incident at Mona Reservoir compound

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that an assessment is now under way into a chlorine leak that occurred at its Mona Reservoir compound earlier today.
The NWC said the leak was quickly contained and remedied through the coordinated efforts of its emergency response team, the supplier and the Jamaica Fire Brigade.
As the response was under way, the commission said it contacted a number of neighbouring premises to provide updates on the situation and the steps being taken to address it.
