For almost 142 years, the killing and wounding of Hosay participants by British colonial forces in San Fernando remained largely absent from Trinidad and Tobago’s collective memory.
On Saturday that silence will be broken with the unveiling of the Muharram Massacre Memorial Monument at the Mon Repos Roundabout in San Fernando.
So said Iere Theatre Productions Limited founder and member of the Muharram Massacre Memorial Monument Committee, Victor Edwards.
