The fam­i­ly of Aver­zon Miller, a woman who has been miss­ing since 2023, is de­mand­ing clo­sure, say­ing they have been wait­ing for con­fir­ma­tion that a body found near­ly two years ago is hers.

Her sis­ter, Keal­izan­da Grant, told Guardian Me­dia that since Sep­tem­ber 2023, the po­lice took DNA sam­ples from fam­i­ly mem­bers af­ter a de­com­pos­ing body was found on a beach in Chatham.

How­ev­er, to this day, she said, the fam­i­ly is still await­ing the re­sults.
