Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar has praised the strong re­la­tion­ship be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and the Unit­ed States, say­ing the part­ner­ship con­tin­ues to de­liv­er tan­gi­ble ben­e­fits in health­care and oth­er key sec­tors.

Speak­ing on Fri­day at the clos­ing cer­e­mo­ny of the Unit­ed States Den­tal Readi­ness Train­ing Ex­er­cise at the Den­tal Hos­pi­tal of the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, Per­sad-Bisses­sar thanked the US Gov­ern­ment, the US Em­bassy and US South­ern Com­mand for their con­tin­ued sup­port.

She de­scribed the ex­er­cise as an­oth­er ex­am­ple of the “en­dur­ing part­ner­ship” be­tween the two coun­tries, built on mu­tu­al re­spect, shared de­mo­c­ra­t­ic val­ues and a com­mit­ment to im­prov­ing the lives of cit­i­zens.
