Police have recovered the car believed to have been used in Thursday’s deadly shooting at a Chase Village roti shop.
The victim, Jennell Mohipath, 31, of Carapichaima, was shot dead around midday while making roti at Ree’s Kitchen along the Southern Main Road.
Witnesses told police a gunman stormed the shop and opened fire on Mohipath before escaping in a gold Chevrolet Optra, which was parked outside. The suspect, described as a man of African descent with short plaits and a green cloth covering his face, fled north in the vehicle.
