Iere Government Primary School held its Christmas event, Carols under the Stars, on the school grounds on Wednesday evening. The event brought together students, teachers, parents, and community members for a night of music and celebration.
The event featured performances from students. A steelpan group performed, adding a local flavour to the evening’s entertainment. The Singing of Carols was led by the principal Ephraim Ramkissoon, Queen Victoria and Zea Marie Marshall, a Standard Four student with a powerful voice.
Principal Ramkissoon addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of the annual event. He said the celebration encourages community involvement and provides students with an opportunity to develop their confidence and artistic skills. “Carols under the Stars is not only a festive tradition for our school, but it also allows our students to shine and share their talents with family, friends, and neighbours,” he said.
