'DO not bully someone to make yourself feel better,' was the advice Minister in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Anil Roberts, gave to students attending day two of the U Health and Wellness Expo yesterday.
Roberts addressed the issue of 'mental health' at the event, which was held at Hyatt Regency Trinidad in Port of Spain. He said that bullying should be eliminated from all levels of society.
'If you have to bully someone or bring down someone to uplift yourself, then you need help. You are the one who needs to talk to someone because that is a manifestation of low self-esteem. 'So, all of you, it begins with you. When you go to school tomorrow, take care of one another. If you see someone bullying someone else, tell them to stop,' the minister urged. He explained to the students that there was nothing wrong with being different as the only thing that matters is that they have a positive view of themselves.
