THE Medical Board of Trinidad and Tobago’s disciplinary tribunal has dismissed a complaint against Dr Conrad Murray, the physician who was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 death of pop superstar Michael Jackson.
In a decision delivered on Tuesday, the tribunal ruled that proceedings against Murray could not continue because of concerns about apparent bias involving its former chairman, Dr Ian Ramnarine.
The tribunal found that Ramnarine had approached the Medical Board’s sole witness, Dr Peter Kenneth Baggan, to provide a witness statement for the complaint while he was serving as chairman of the body hearing the matter.
