Trinidad and To­ba­go was rocked by sev­er­al shoot­ings over a 24-hour pe­ri­od, leav­ing four men dead in sep­a­rate in­ci­dents across the coun­try.

In El So­cor­ro, San Juan, pen­sion­er Gob­in De­onar­ine, 76, was shot sev­er­al times on the pave­ment in front of his home at Per­sad Lane around 1.20 am while play­ing cards with rel­a­tives and neigh­bours.

A gun­man re­port­ed­ly rode past on a bi­cy­cle and opened fire on the group.
