For the first time in the history of Trinidad and Tobago Carnival, winners in the Calypso Monarch, and Kings and Queens competitions can expect to drive home in three spanking new cars on Dimanche Gras night.
Rosalind Gabriel, who is vice-president of the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Bands Association (TTCBA), yesterday issued a media release stating, “The Senior King and Queen of Carnival will each receive a brand-new Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Calypso Monarch is set to drive away in the bold new KGM Torres, all courtesy Lifestyle Motors, the Official Vehicle Sponsor of the TTCBA Senior Kings and Queens of Carnival Competition 2025.”
Gabriel also holds the portfolio of commissioner for mas on the National Carnival Commission (NCC), and has been involved in Carnival for decades. She joins the rank of esteemed masmen, including Peter Minshall, the late Wayne Berkeley, Elsie Lee Heung and Lil Hart.
