A 39-year-old fishÂerÂman was reÂmandÂed in cusÂtody on WednesÂday afÂter apÂpearÂing beÂfore a MasÂter of the Court. PoÂlice charged him with woundÂing with inÂtent, posÂsesÂsion of a firearm, posÂsesÂsion of amÂmuÂniÂtion, posÂsesÂsion of a firearm to enÂdanÂger life, posÂsesÂsion of amÂmuÂniÂtion to enÂdanÂger life, and disÂchargÂing a firearm withÂin 40 meÂtres of a pubÂlic road.
The court adÂjourned the matÂter to 5 SepÂtemÂber 2025.
AcÂcordÂing to poÂlice, on 7 NoÂvemÂber, the vicÂtim was atÂtendÂing to his boat along South Trunk Road, La RoÂmain, when two men apÂproached him. One of them, armed with a firearm, fired sevÂerÂal shots, hitÂting the vicÂtim three times.
