Three suspects were arrested and a quantity of cannabis seized during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Trincity district on Saturday.
According to a police media release on Monday, officers of the DCP Operations Unit conducted an exercise at the Macoya Industrial Estate, around 4.20 p.m., on September 6th based on intelligence received about an alleged drug shipment. During the exercise, 82 black packets, four brown packets, two transparent packets and one red packet, all containing cannabis were discovered.
The suspects, ages 26 to 42 of Trincity and Chaguanas, were arrested for Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Trafficking.
