ST JAMES, Jamaica — Five retired cops based in western Jamaica, some of whom are shut-ins, recently received care packages from the Jamaica Police Co-operative Credit Union.
The presentation was made during the Association of Past Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force Chapter One’s monthly meeting held at the Grand-A-View Restaurant and Event Place in St James.
Each package included a $20,000 cash grant aimed at helping recipients cover medical expenses, medication, and other urgent social needs. Many of the retirees face significant financial strain due to immobility and an inability to travel or earn supplemental income, despite receiving pensions.
