‘Grande’ mother ambushed, shot dead

A 30-year-old mother was ambushed and shot dead minutes after leaving her Sangre Grande home yesterday morning.

Police said shortly before 10 a.m., Shennel Lewis of Bridge Road, Brooklyn Settlement, Sangre Grande, was walking towards Mc Gillvary Road to get public transportation to get to work.

As Lewis approached the corner, a white Nissan Tiida stopped nearby. A man exited the vehicle, pointed a firearm at her and fired two shots.
