DeĀspite Prime MinĀisĀter StuĀart Youngās asĀsurĀance that both inĀterĀnaĀtionĀal and reĀgionĀal elecĀtion obĀservers will be present for the April 28 GenĀerĀal ElecĀtion, the UnitĀed NaĀtionĀal ConĀgress (UNC) says, as far as it is aware, onĀly CariĀcom obĀservers have comĀmitĀted to comĀing thus far.
FolĀlowĀing a meetĀing beĀtween the ElecĀtions and BoundĀaries ComĀmisĀsion (EBC) and sevĀerĀal UNC memĀbers yesĀterĀday, the UNCās Barataria/San Juan canĀdiĀdate, SadĀdam HoĀsein, said the OpĀpoĀsiĀtion conĀtinĀues to be deeply conĀcerned and disĀsatĀisĀfied that with onĀly three weeks unĀtil the elecĀtion, thereās been no conĀfirĀmaĀtion from GovĀernĀment that inĀterĀnaĀtionĀal obĀservers would be present on April 28.
HoĀsein told Guardian MeĀdia his parĀty conĀtinĀues to be conĀcerned about the inĀtegriĀty of CariĀcom obĀservers, since the wife of forĀmer atĀtorĀney genĀerĀal RegiĀnald ArĀmour is CariĀcomās asĀsisĀtant genĀerĀal secĀreĀtary.
