KINGSTON, Jamaica â Mayberry Investments Limited recently joined the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech) for its âWeek of Welcomeâ Orientation Week, held from August 23 to 27, engaging incoming and returning students as they prepared to begin the new academic year.
UTech, the islandâs national STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) university, welcomed an estimated 1,000 to 1,500 new and transfer students across its nine faculties and colleges, spanning business, health sciences, engineering and computing, law, education, science and sport, and medicine.
Orientation Week marks a pivotal moment for new students at the beginning of their academic tenure, shaping the habits, affiliations, and routines they will carry throughout their university years. Mayberryâs presence on campus on Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27 saw the team engaging directly with prospective and returning students and lecturers, culminating in a presentation to students in the auditorium on Thursday.
