The po­lice ser­vice is com­mit­ted to keep­ing all Gov­ern­ment min­is­ters safe, in par­tic­u­lar De­fence Min­is­ter Wayne Sturge, Deputy Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice Ju­nior Ben­jamin says.

One day af­ter Gov­ern­ment min­is­ters said Sturge was alive and well, af­ter al­leged­ly re­ceiv­ing death threats, Ben­jamin said he could not pro­vide de­tails on the re­port­ed threats.

Speak­ing with Guardian Me­dia af­ter meet­ing with of­fi­cials at the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion yes­ter­day, Ben­jamin, who has op­er­a­tional con­trol of the po­lice, said the TTPS was com­mit­ted to en­sur­ing the safe­ty of all in Gov­ern­ment.
