A man and a woman convicted of seriously injuring a man at the Princess Alice Bus Terminal have indicated their willingness to compensate him as the High Court prepares for sentencing.

Jhakira Patrice Matthews of Scotts Terrace, Grazettes, St Michael, and Jurdie Miller of Mile and a Quarter, St Peter, reappeared recently in the No. 5 Supreme Court, where Glen Wilson, the complainant in the matter, indicated that he was willing to accept compensation for his injuries.

Following a trial, Matthews was unanimously convicted by a nine-member jury of causing serious bodily harm to Wilson with intent on May 31, 2021, while Miller was found guilty by majority verdict of the lesser charge of unlawfully and maliciously inflicting serious bodily harm on him.
