GEORGETOWN, Guyana(AFP)—At least 41 people died after a ferry capsized off the coast of Guyana over the weekend, the government said Tuesday.
The MV Barima flipped over on Saturday night as it traveled from the capital Georgetown to Guyana’s inland Essequibo region. The previous death toll had stood at 27.
