Third accused pleads guilty to manslaughter in Henry boys' case

(Kaieteur News) – Akash Singh, called “Monkey”, the third accused in the murder of the Henry boys, has pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter.
Singh, 25, appeared at the Berbice High Court before Justice Gino Persaud on Monday, where he pleaded not guilty to murder, but guilty to the lesser counts of manslaughter.
State prosecutor Marisa Edwards presented the summary of the charges to the court. It was alleged that between September 5 and 6, 2020, Singh murdered Isaiah Henry and Joel Henry, two cousins from West Coast Berbice.
