The Barbados men’s XVs thumped Guyana 21-3 under the floodlights at the Historic Garrison Savannah on Saturday.
The Green Machines got off to a quick start with a penalty try from Tyrese Prescod as Guyana employed a vigorous, physical game, exploiting the slightest error by the Bajan team.
The gusty winds made kicking a huge gamble, but both teams kept up the pressure, with Barbados’ Nicholas Daniel scoring the first try 16 minutes into the match to give his side a 5-3 lead.
