Raymond Ramnarine and Dil-E-Nadan have created history once again on Sunday, August 9, drawing a sold-out crowd of more than 8,000 fans to the Chutney Fusion Festival at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban, South Africa.
The concert, produced by Fusion Life Events, marked Ramnarine’s third visit to South Africa and continues his pioneering work to spread Indo-Caribbean culture on the African continent.
“South Africa continues to amaze me,” said Raymond Ramnarine. “To travel this far from Trinidad and Tobago and see more than 8,000 people singing our songs, dancing with us and embracing our culture is difficult to put into words. This is my third time here, but that feeling when I step on stage and see the response never gets old.”
