Prime Minister Stuart Young and Works Minister Rohan Sinanan have accused elements in the United National Congress (UNC) of engaging in voter intimidation and voter suppression, particularly in marginal seats like Toco/Sangre Grande.
Speaking at a public meeting in Sangre Grande on Thursday night, Young also accused UNC Toco/Sangre Grande candidate Wayne Sturge of surrounding himself with “questionable characters”.
Young said he had been receiving reports from people around Trinidad and Tobago “as far as Moruga, from La Horquetta/Talparo, right here in Grande, St Joseph, San Fernando West and other constituencies.
