Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Dr. Roodal Moonilal MP, has reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to collaboration with Grenada on oil and gas exploration in its waters, as well as the renewal of a partnership between the National Gas Company (NGC) and the Global Petroleum Group (GPG).
Minister Moonilal and his Cabinet colleague Ernesto Kesar, Minister in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, along with senior Ministry officials, met with GPG executives Eduard Vasilyev (Executive Director) and Leonid Mironov (Finance and Corporate Affairs Officer) on 23 June 2025.
GPG is an oil and gas company engaged in exploration and appraisal activities off Grenada's southern coast, close to the Patao/Dragon fields in Venezuela and the North Coast Marine Area (NCMA) fields in Trinidad. In 2018, GPG successfully established a commercial agreement with the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago (NGC).
