KINGSTON, Jamaica — Young people across the Caribbean, Americas and Atlantic (CAA) Region will have an opportunity to share their perspectives on democracy and legislative issues during the 19th Regional Youth Parliamentary Session, on September 3.
The session will form part of the 48th Regional Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) CAA Region, being hosted by Jamaica at Moon Palace Jamaica in Ocho Rios, St Ann, from August 30 to September 5.
Speaking at a recent JIS Think Tank, Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chair of the Association, Juliet Holness, said the inclusion of young people is important, given their role in shaping and sustaining democracy.
