Chief Justice Ivor Archie has announced that he will retire on Wednesday.
Archie said that he has indicated this to the Acting President.
In a statement this evening, Archie reminded that during his address at the commemoration of the 2025-2026 law term, he stated that his departure from the judiciary was imminent. “I wish to advise that that time has arrived and today I indicated to the Acting President that I will retire on October 22nd 2025.”
