Top officials of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) say that more criminal syndicates in the Americas are turning to illegal gold mining to move and hide profits generated from the cocaine trade.
Over 80 senior law enforcement officials have gathered in Guyana for the 27th INTERPOL Americas Regional Conference to address some of the most pressing organised crime threats facing the region.
