The Gov­ern­ment has an­nounced the of­fi­cial vis­it of Prime Min­is­ter of In­dia Naren­dra Mo­di to Trinidad and To­ba­go from Ju­ly 3 to Ju­ly 4.

The vis­it marks a mile­stone in diplo­mat­ic re­la­tions be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and In­dia, which be­gan in 1962.

Dis­cus­sions dur­ing the vis­it are ex­pect­ed to fo­cus on strength­en­ing bi­lat­er­al co­op­er­a­tion in mul­ti­ple sec­tors. These in­clude fi­nance, for­eign pol­i­cy, jus­tice, ed­u­ca­tion, le­gal af­fairs, health, agri­cul­ture, trade, en­er­gy, cul­ture, sports, and in­for­ma­tion com­mu­ni­ca­tion tech­nol­o­gy.
