POLICE COMMISSIONER Allister Guevarro says supporters of Kaia Sealy and Joshua Samaroo who held a protest outside the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in Port of Spain on Wednesday “threw caution to the wind and the police had to act”.
Guevarro was one of the speakers during yesterday’s launch of the police’s Diplomatic Security Unit at the St Clair Police Station.
Also present was Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander, who during the launch told police that while they were facing challenges in the public domain, their integrity and conduct remained valuable.
