AMID a cheering crowd that has erupted in celebration, on its feet, jumping, waving flags, and screaming in glee over the successive victories of the Naparima College football team, a name is spoken softly in the players’ post-game huddle.
The name is Timothy Hamilton, affectionately known as “Timo”, who died last year, months after a car crash, but remains in the hearts of his schoolmates and peers, and is a part of every match.
At just 16 years old, he was already a registered member of the National Association of Athletics Associations (NAAATT) and a member of the IG Fast Lane Athletics Club in Chaguanas.
