KC, JC to face off for Walker Cup title

Kingston College (KC) and Jamaica College (JC) will meet in this year’s ISSA Walker Cup final after both emerged from dramatic semi-final encounters at Stadium East yesterday.

JC secured their place in the final after edging Mona High 4-3 on penalties following an entertaining 3-3 draw in regulation time, while KC staged a spirited comeback to defeat Excelsior 2-1.

In the second game of the semi-final double-header, which was rescheduled after rain on Friday prevented the completion of play, Jamone Lyle opened the scoring for JC in the fifth minute before Donald Stewart doubled the lead four minutes later with a strike from distance.
