Reflecting on Thursday’s tragedy, Parish priest at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church in Belmont Father Mikkel Trestrail said society is “holding its breath,” struggling to come to terms with the senseless loss.
Father Mikkel said that at the heart of the problem is a vacuum within the home, where the teaching and modelling of positive social norms are increasingly absent.
