Jamaica has recorded its second straight week of single-digit murders, with just six homicides reported across the island between June 21 and June 27, according to the latest serious crime statistics from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
The figures follow the previous week's total of eight murders between June 14 and June 20, making it one of the longest stretches of low weekly murder figures recorded this year.
As at June 27, Jamaica had recorded 265 murders, down 23 per cent from the 342 reported during the corresponding period last year.
